“Just purchased this modem and connected it to the Cox cable and the laptop (10-year old Dell). Went through activation process over the phone with Cox staff. Will not connect to the internet. Any suggestions? Is computer too old maybe?”

Computer is old suggest a new one but you need a cell to download Netgear app or nighthawk app same thing i believe and you need to connect it to wifi during setup and create a router name and password. I did anyways.
