I bought this same router/modem combination a few months ago. We went from 15mbps to 50mbps with Time Warner. We have a 3,000 sq ft house. We had a lot of problems with it being too slow, not being able to be picked up in 2 rooms over. It is mounted on top of our china cabinet in the dining room, which is about center of the house. My daughter called Netgear and they were very helpful in walking her through some system changes. We can now pick up the internet upstairs, in the garage, and even at a low level, in our small separate garage. Not sure what they had her change but they were almost going to send us a new one, thinking it might be defective. My suggestion is to call Netgear support and have all your information ready and let them see if they can help. Time Warner isn't the most reliable service, and we thought that might be it, but not this time. Haven't had any issues since. Good Luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, I also have Comcast and I have my router set up in one of 3 rooms upstairs...I receive wireless signal as far as my driveway (that I've checked). Also, you have the option of using wired, wireless, or both for connectivity. Right now I'm wireless with great service for 4 devices (phone, tablet, laptop and smart box) and I'll see if that changes once I set up my office and hard wire the desktop to the modem in that room.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used Comcast's modem router with no success I purchased the Netgear router modem and it works great. I called Comcast Tech support and they active my new router/modem with no issues and if you are currently renting your modem from Comcast you will save around $10 a month on your bill. That will pay for you new equipment in no time
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need wifi range extenders

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Normally your router should be placed in a central location, preferably in the middle floor of your home so it can reach floors above and below. If you're still having issues then you may want to purchase a range extender.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would set this one up somewhere in the center of your home, if you have signal strength issues do not put it inside a closet or in a closed room. Another option is to get "range extenders" that just plug into the wall that will boost your signal strength to the rooms where do you find lower signal strength.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use this modem with Time Warner Cable. If you have Internet phone (VOIP) you'll need to keep your cable unit to manage that, but Comcast can set it up for you so the two modems are taking care of business. The 5 Ghz band is excellent: I can get 3/4 bars in the backyard 100' away easily. The low band (Wireless N) not so much, I had to install powerline networking because my PS3 and PS4 couldn't get reliable signal even though there is only a floor and 20 linear feet separating them, Every device with WiFi that can join the network will share the connection, although there are advanced settings that will let you modify an individual device somewhat. If you really want to split one machine from the herd, you might be better using a Wireless AC adapter for that machine only and keeping the rest on Wireless N; they will still share the incoming cable bandwidth but be on separate networks and can't communicate. A less easy option is to use Windows Homegroup, but that can be a tremendous pain in the neck,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your ISP will not usually allow more than one modem on their network for free. Just replace the COMCAST rental unit with your new NETGEAR AC1750 and it will serve all the computers in your home. Central location works well for both wireless and wired connectivity. There is no reason to have a special modem for just one PC. The Netgear serves multiple PCs without breaking a sweat.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should be able to use it most places in the house. The Wi-Fi signal coverage is very god. With this new Wi-Fi router, installed upstairs, we now receive good signal coverage in our family room downstairs to watch TV services which we could not before with older router. You should be able t use this with multiple computers.
