QuestionDual band?Is the modem itself dual band, or, is it the router function that is dual band. I have a dual band router from netgear, should I get a new modem?

- Answer The wireless router is dual band (ie 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz). If you currently have a separate modem and then a dual band Netgear Router then I wouldn't bother unless you just want to have one piece of hardware instead of two or are renting the modem from your cable provider.
