• It is, but I would attempt to find a router that offers AC capabilities. Most routers (including this one) only offer a 2.4ghz band, which is alright. The new AC routers add a 5ghz band which can work in sync with the 2.4ghz (ac routers emit both bands). long story short, no lag more frag. An overall better experience for your online gaming and streaming.

• Most units on the market today are comparable with Xbox Live with a few adjustments to the settings. The only really hindrance you will find is if your internet connection is sub par, which is usually your ISP's fault not your modem.

• Not sure about X-Box Live, but I use PS Plus on a PS3 and PS4, sometimes at the same time, and I have no issues.
