• If you're only looking for a modem, then this wouldn't be a good option for you, this is only a wifi router that works with an external modem. I have NOT used the combo modem/router, but I've had friends tell me that it's best to have separate modem and router devices for best results.

• I bought this router. Excellent for all those devices. Works great for streaming video. Very little buffering on cell phone, iPad, or laptop.

• This modem does everything you mention wanting to do. I do not do gaming and do not intend to. The speed of the internet on my computers and phones is great.

• Well, the N900 fits all of those needs. I don't do any gaming either, and this router works for me. Now to be technical, your question asks about a modem. To be exact, the modem will connect one device to the internet. It is a router you are interested in. A router is needed to connect multiple devices (and is required if you plan to use a cell phone with a wifi feature). The N900 is a router only. You will need a modem for it to be usable.
