This is for future use. As I read it, Netgear has plans to allow bonded ports to communicate with other devices that support Link Aggregation. This should be enabled in a future firmware, but there is no known schedule.

Can directly wire up any 4 wired devices you like to them or a router or wireless router to one or more. This also has Link Aggregation where you can "bond" two of the ports together to double the maximum wired speeds. To do this would require another device that has 2 ethernet ports also supporting link aggregation (i.e. like the Nighthawk AX8)
