This device or one similar yet smaller would do the trick. Since you already have ethernet in the shop you can connect this device to that and set up as a WIFI access point. Then connect the device you currently have connected to the original ethernet cable to one of the 3 remaining ethernet ports on the Netgear unit. The Netgear device will broadcast WIFI as well and you will be all set. I would recommend using the SAME SSID (home network name) for the new device wifi. This make life more simple when moving from one location to another for wifi devices like smart phones and other portable wifi connected devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don’t waste your time with extenders. Upgrade to a mesh system. I have Orbi, which I highly recommend. It comes with a primary router to replace your current router, and a satellite which you can set up in your shop.
