It has no modem feature as part of the router. The modem is set to function as a transparent bridge by changing the settings in the modem. Then the Netgear router is set up to use a PPPOE connection with your Century Link PPPOE username and password entered into the settings. The PPPOE username and password is not the old Century Link wifi network name and password on the label on the modem. You have to get the PPPOE username and password from Century Link.
