• Q: "Is this wireless after setup or does it need to be plugged into my modem?" A: Yes - and (almost certainly...) Yes - assuming you want to use it to access the Internet. I suppose you could use it WITHOUT internet access - strictly as an Internal wireless LAN - in which case connection to a modem would not be required. Ex: if our Modem goes down (or we unplug it), our internal wireless connections remain active (as long as they receive electricity) so we can still transfer files and/or send print jobs.
