• This is just a router. You need an internet service and modem as well. This just gives you wifi for your devices.

• You need an internet service provider ( ie ATT Spectrum) . The internet service provider may put you on a contract. This unit only creates a WiFi signal for your mobile devices. With this being said, it does a great job of providing WiFi. I did have to call Netgear support, which they are helpful.
