• Yes, I have 1Gps fiber cable. The ONT box converts fiber to ethernet. the ethernet connects to the router. The fiber net provider will install the ONT box and comes free with the install.

• This is a router not a modem. it only has an enthernet port that would come from the modem. If you have fiber to the home then it would interface to a ethernet jack to the modem. Hope that helps
