My Netgear Nighthawk AC 1900 Model R7300 is 12.05" wide (side-to-side/left to right). Your shelf should be that wide at least. The router is 10" and approx. 3/16" from back of antennas to the front. So the shelf should be at least 10 3/16" deep, front to back. Rubber feet are 5 5/8 " from back of back rubber feet to front of front rubber feet. I don't know what the x 8.0 " is referring to on the retail box dimensions. The front to back dimensions on top and on bottom are different because of the design. If the router is too deep for the shelf, you might try cutting a piece of plywood to extend the shelf and secure it. To say the least, because of the design, the box dimensions are a little odd. I do not mean that the design itself is odd, because this Nighthawk R7300 is sleek and stealthy black. I like the panel lights when first turned on: see my Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 R7300 photos.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is 12" deep which means if you want it to sit on a shelf without hanging off then the shelf needs to be 12" or more.
