I will recommend the Nighthawk. It also comes with a range extender, which you may or may not use. We haven't found an area in our house where we need it. The router is doing very well with out it. Here is the link to check it out. We have a split level with thick walls and it works great with full bars until we go outside where we then have 3 maybe 4 bars. Good luck... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/netgear-nighthawk-dst-ac1900-dual-band-wi-fi-router-with-dst-adapter-black/9241038.p?id=1219701748142&skuId=9241038&cmp=RMX&utm_campaign=bazaarvoice&utm_medium=Default&utm_source=RatingsAndReviews&utm_content=Default
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are several Nighthawks for you...this one, the X6, and the best is the X8 right now. I have 8 computers, 4 cell phones, 5 tablets...three laptops on my network the Nighthawk here does the trick...in the two story house with one kid in the basement and a network printer there also. It also sends my wireless 243 feet from the house (al the way to the chicken coop). But, I removed the FIOS router, if you don't have television, it is simple, with TV it is tougher...but worth it. Google it and you will see instructions. But, even without doing that you can extend the network very nicely. If you do that it is better to have the Nighthawk connected to the FIOS ruter by ethernet. The ethernet cable can be long, so you can position the Nighthawk in the best spot.
