• No - this is NOT a modem. You need to use a modem to modulate the signal from your Internet provider - after which you can use this router to deliver WiFi or wired Internet through your location.

• No the Netgear Nighthawk is a router only. A separate modem has to be installed

• No you need a modem from you cable company. That's how they determine what services you receive.
