It's unlikely Dylan. The weak (read slow) link is your service provider. That is unless your provider can provide Gigabit speeds, which is extremely unlikely.

You will not see an increase there, unless your ISP increases your speeds. However, you should see SOME change in your wireless depending on the router that you are coming from.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your router cannot change your Internet Speed. That is controlled by the ISP you use and also the router they provide you with. There are some changes you can make in the router your ISP gave you that can help speed things up a little. I increased local computer speed to the Internet by replacing the FIOS router totally. What it can do is extend the network further through your home.
