I'm unsure how much ram it has. Netgear may be better able to answer that question. All I know is it's pretty fast. With this, you may not need a range extender if it's centrally placed. I'm not really a wifi user, except for the occasional iPad usage because I have Fiber internet and need the speed on my devices.
