Yes it is, however the router says is capable of speeds of up to 1.3GB and I am not seeing that even though my modem is kicking out those speeds. I would not buy a Netgear product. They have very poor tech support

A docsis 3.1 modem simply pulls in signal faster, the Ethernet cord pushes the signal from the modem to the router. Then of course the router transmits that signal as your WiFi signal you connect to. In most areas, a docsis 3.1 modem can't even utilize the top speeds it is built for. This router is capable of over 1 Gbps throughput, so the only limit you would run into is, at some point your modem might be pulling in signal faster than your router can push it out (if that makes sense). If that is your concern, I would look to step up to a higher end router, maybe AC2200 or even an AC3200. They are both capable of some of the highest speeds available and would give you some future proofing once your 3.1 modem is able to get to its full speed.
