If your CL router has a cat5 port, this ethernet (yellow port) will plug into the cat5 port. I have AT&T fiber. The AT&T router is plugged via cat5 into the fiber box on the wall. This router works just fine and I still get the fiber speeds on this router with hard wired devices. The 5G wifi is also pretty fast on the iPad but the Fiber internet is the speed source.
