For DSL, you need to have a DSL modem connected to your phone line. Most DSL modems also include a router function, and Wi-Fi. This unit is just the router, with Wi-Fi. You could use this with a DSL modem to expand your home network, but you need to get a DSL modem that's compatible with your DSL service.
