“If I have a store bought netgear modem and router will I need a carrier like Hughes net and frontier?”

• Any service is fine I have att and it works. You must have a modem of course. If you have a modem and router as one device just connect and follow instructions. Very easy set up on my smartphone.

• Yes, this router will need an internet provider and service to access anything outside of a localized network. Depending on what type of service you have, that may entail requiring a cable or dsl modem.
