This is just a wifi router and not a cable modem. It doesn't connect to cell networks or anything like that. It requires you have cable modem or dsl service to the building.

To keep a landline, such as through TWC, you must connect this router to the TWC-supplied router and the configuration wizard is able to detect that and walk you down a configuration path to enable this Netgear router to work in conjunction with existing modem/router. That's the option that I used. Cable is connected to TWC router and Ethernet connects old router to new one. Simple setup. This is a great device.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is a router, not a modem. It has only Ethernet and USB ports. It does not connect directly to the Internet. If you do not have a modem you would need to purchase one for your provider connection or purchase a modem/router combination.
