Yes but if that is the case then there might be more economical solutions for your business environment that don't have all the bells and whistles of this beauty here. It is one of the few handful of routers that has been given Nvidia's seal of approval for its game-streaming technology for its shield tablets. This beauty was made to make your network share nicely.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is an option to block P2P in the parental controls of the R7000. You can do it throughout the netgear genie app. Not sure about blocking apps though as I've never tried it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can setup the parental controls on this to block P2P. Not sure what you mean by "apps" as that covers a lot. You can block a lot of different things with it however. I have set these up in offices and have blocked P2P, social networking, etc. that you would normally block in a business environment. You can also allow specific PCs access thru these blocks if you have a need to allow certain people access but want the network as a while to remain blocked. This is with standard firmware.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Easiest way is to set up an open DNS account, opendns.org for free, and then point your DNS at that. Just set it to block P2P and any category that you don't want folks getting into. Also - Open DNS is built into the parental controls on the R7000
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, Using Open DNS that Netgear points you to through the interface you can select a custom filter that would include P2P .
