“I still have a land line (home phone). Does this router have a connection to attach home phone line through? Need to update to a new router and was told to make sure there is a connection, as many new routers, do not. Please advise.”

Hi Barry, You will need an internet connection through an internet service provider such as Comcast/Xfinity or other in order to effectively use any router. If you don’t have a connection, you will not be able to install a new router. There is no current router I’m aware of for non-commercial or home use that uses phone lines to connect to the internet. If you have more questions, talk to your local Best Buy store geek squad. Good luck with your upgrade.
