• This is a router, not a cable modem. Of course you can connect it to a cable modem which has DOCSIS 3.1.

• DOCSIS 3.1 is a standard used by MODEMS. This is a router not a modem. If you want to use this with Cable, you still must buy a Cable MODEM.
