Yes it works fine with FIOS and yes you use your Quantum router. Best solution is to use one of the ethernet outputs from Quantum to the Netgear Nighthawk X10 AD7200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router input ethernet port.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This router does NOT have a coax connection and does not function as a cable modem. It doesn't have the hardware for DOCSIS connections to any cable or fiber provider. It does have a WAN port which is Ethernet. This is the method of connection to your providers equipment. I am using a Spectrum provided cable-modem in bridge mode with this router and it works fine. This router will require the modem provided by your cable company or ISP in almost every case. I would recommend getting the most basic router/cable modem from Verizon you can get since the Netgear will provide Wifi, Ethernet, Firewall and almost every other function Verizon's Quantum router provides. Be aware that you are adding a layer of complexity to your home network with this router and Verizon will not troubleshoot problems past their equipment. You will also likely need to configure any FiOS provided device as a bridge instead of the full functionality of a router. I've never used a FiOS router in bridge mode but I suspect it isn't that unusual. You'll go from the Wall (Coax Cable) to the input Coax Connection on your FiOS router/modem, then you'll exit the FiOS box with Ethernet, and plug that into the WAN (input) port on your Netgear. All your in-house devices will talk to the Netgear wirelessly or directly plugged into the Ethernet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t see why not, just plug in a Ethernet cord from the Netgear R9000 to the verizon router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.if you have tv and want full function of the cable boxes and dvr you will need the fios router or some other MOCA box. Check the fios site for how to use your own router with fios.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will work. You only need the basic FIOS modem and connect that to this device. HOWEVER, hopefully you didn't buy this device because it has a wifi rebooting issue that's completely independent from your question. Netgear is unable to fix the issue.
