I have Charter Spectrum, and I use this router. You just hook up the router to the modem. However, this is a high speed router, make sure you have a fast modem. I have an ARRIS TM822A and it works well. You should check with Spectrum to make sure you have a good modem. We have 100mb service here. You have to attach the router to the modem so it has to be next to it. Have you considered moving your modem upstairs (if that's where you access it most).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will work. If your modem is not wireless then you will have to run an ethernet cable between your modem and the X10. Cat 7 cable is available now, I would recommend running at least cat 6.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes -- with the proper equipment from Spectrum (modem) you can use the R9000 as your router to provide ultimate wireless coverage in your home!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am using my X10 with Spectrum with fine results. All you have to do is follow the setup instructions in the box. My modem and router are upstairs and my computers (laptop and desktop) and TV are downstairs. Streams without stutter. Very satisfied. Good luck.
