The AD band is not supported by any device as of yet. The range of the AD band is short range, meaning it will probably cover a large living room to a small house. It will mainly be for Data Streaming/Transfer, gaming, home Network Cloud. The AC isn't super impressive. It does penetrate walls, but no where near the ASUS AC3100 or AC5300. Those covered a majority of my 3.5 Acre property...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.> 4000 sq feet and very well through the walls
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A distance of maybe 50' and a couple of walls between the router. To be honest with you, I'd go with a 1900mbps router with removable antennas, replace those with high gain antennas, and accomplish the same thing for half the price. I've had good luck with Asus routers when it comes to coverage

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a 3100 sf home with no issues, see my review.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Im using it for a 5,000sqft space and it works great. There's only one divider concrete wall and considering that there's lots of metal ducts and concrete and still works great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.how is the range compared to the nighthawk x6?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a 3000 sq ft home. Not counting the 2.5 garage or my basement. The Netgear 7200 X 10 R9000 is fantastic as far as my house is concerned. I have super full coverage all over my house. Upstairs in all 4 bedrooms , upstairs 3 bathrooms and upstairs family room. My basement and garage as well as my corner lot. I can go anywhere and get full coverage and great connect speeds. The AD band is a high disappointment however.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The R9000 is rated for Ultimate range, offering WiFi coverage throughout very large homes. Its four patent pending external active antennas amplify WiFi signals to maximize range and throughput throughout your home.
