• I got the nighthawk router to replace a fios router that was having continual disconnects and slow video issues. I have not heard any complaints since the change and my wifi signal is stronger throughout the house. There are may reasons for disconnects and other wifi issues but it seemed to solve my issues. • I too had this problem. It turned out that ny original router was fried. It worked sometimes, and dropped out 10-20x a day. We recently had a lot of lightning close by in the preceeding weeks. I replaced it with this router and it has worked seamlesly ever since. You may not need this router in particular, but just a new router.
