Yes the Netgear X4S works very well in our Townhouse which is also about 2600 sq ft. We had the Geek squad set it up and I was very pleased with the results.

But I do believe her computer is working fine. I have a room downstairs that was always a virtual dead spot but that is now not true. I get connected on Netflix and my phone perfectly.
