A:AnswerI assume you are replacing and old router. You need to setup the new router with the same ssid and password as the old one. All devices connected to the old router will automatically connect to the new one. There are occasions that some won’t connect and sometimes it takes a long time to reconnect. (That is my own experience)
A:AnswerAs long as the provider offers an Ethernet connection out it will work. Has 4 available Ethernet ports on the back. Overall it’s a dependable router.
A:AnswerYes, you can use a router to connect all your WIFI devices, such as a NAS drive that contains videos and pictures to watch on a Smart TV, and print documents on a printer and so on, however, that will not be able to connect you to the internet.
A:AnswerBased on your question if the cable you are referring to is an ethernet cable it must be coming from a modem? If so then yes all you need to do is connect that cable to this router instead of your laptop and you will be good to go.
A:AnswerYes it works. That is how I connect mine. I returned the router provided by Verizon. Just make sure you change your Verizon account that you are using your own router.
A:AnswerAccording to the specs of this router it can work in a 5000 sq. ft. area. I would say you need something with a larger range since the walls are that thick. Or check out a Mesh system router this may be a better choice .
A:Answerwell, for one year it will. After that it will fail and youll have to pay 150.00 for a warranty you dont want. It seems mathematical in the amount of time that I've read
A:AnswerAs far as I know this is a router only and not a modem. Most often the "modem" is supplied by your Internet provider and you connect this router to it to distribute the WiFi signal.
