The Orbi router requires a direct Ethernet connection to your home's modem in order to access the Internet.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Simple answer: Not directly. The Orbi is a router so it needs a wired Internet connection. You need something called a wifi extender. There are many on the market which can cover 2000 sq. feet. If you MUST have the Orbi you need to buy a wifi extender with ethernet port. Then you can connect the Orbi main unit to the extender using an Ethernet cable. Now it will work but expect latency.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Does the TMO hot spot have an ethernet port that provides an internet signal. if it does, then you can. if it does not then it can't. The orbi is not a Wi-Fi repeater. The base station needs to be provided internet via an ethernet cable then the satellites act as Wi-Fi repeaters off the base.
