The ORBI device acts as a router itself so as long as your provider provides you with at least 1 rj-45 connection you should be able to plug that into the primary ORBI Router and it will handle all your router functions from that point on.

The modem will connect to the Orbi router with the provided ethernet cable. If you are renting an all-in-one router/modem from your provider, then yes, you will need to change that to just a modem or buy a modem yourself.
