• Yes, the Orbi will work with a combo modem/router. You can either set the modem/router to "modem only" mode, and use the Orbi as a replacement router, which would be the most common usage. You can also continue to use your modem/router as a router, and add Orbi as an access point.

• Should work. Turn off router function on Motorola or use Orbi as bridge.
