• Yes it works great with Spectrum. I have 100mbs down and according to fast.com I'm usually getting 120.

• The Orbi is strictly a router and requires a direct Ethernet connection to your home's modem and ISP in order to access the Internet. If your current device is a modem/router combo unit, you have the option of either turning off the router in the combo unit (recommended) and strictly using the Orbi's powerful AC3000 Tri-band network, or setting the Orbi up in Access Point mode to run alongside your current device. Instructions to set up the Orbi in AP mode are located beginning on page 72 of the User Manual: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/RBK50#docs.
