Hi, Patty... You have the option of turning off the WiFi signal in your current combo device and replacing it with the Orbi signal, or running the Orbi alongside it in Access Point mode. Your router only provides the home with a wireless connection. Once you plug the Orbi into the modem you can follow the step by step instructions provided in the box that will help you locate the router from your computer and go through the process or renaming it and assigning it a password.
