Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it is mostly designed for a device that needs to be hard wired, but if you put a router on the other end, it would make it wireless. It is definitely an extender or booster of your internet signal but like anything else, there are variables like number of walls (distance of device to device) that the signal has to travel. Another variable is your electrical wiring, I have a newly built apt which is up to code, may not work well in older homes....
