• No the Ethernet ports are NOT POE! Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a standard that allows Ethernet cables to simultaneously transmit data and power using a single network cable. This allows system integrators and network installers to deploy powered devices in locations that lack electrical circuitry. The Powerline 2000 provides an Ethernet connection over your home’s electrical wiring. So you could call it ‘Ethernet over power’!!!

• Although the specification section of this page states this product supports POE, the NETGEAR - Powerline 2000 + Extra Outlet, Model:PLP2000-100PAS does NOT support POE.

• it's NEITHER POE OR POE+ and has nothing to do with "Power Over Ethernet" and has NEVER been stated that way on ANY Netgear Powerline Product, if you read the box you would have comprehended that it uses the power lines in your house to send the internet signal to your devices,

• You'll have to ask your Best buy salesman for that question I have mine connected to a satellite receiver and it works fine for transmitting my voice commands on my remote.
