You run an ethernet cable from your internet source router to the 1st powerline pod. Then plug the pod it in the wall. Run an ethernet cable from your device (computer, game, Roku ...) to the 2nd Pod. Then plug the 2nd pod in the wall in another room. Your device is now wired with fast ethernet.
