The two channels available are 2.4 ghz and 5ghz. Some older equipment will not recognize the 5ghz channel, however, I use it with my ROKU for streaming tv and it works great. I also live in a large house and have found signal strength in our basement and upstairs to be more than adequate.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a large 2 story house and it works great in mine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are having an issue getting signal to those devices, I would suggest a signal Range Extender. Usually about the same price or a little bit more expensive as the routers themselves but they can extend the range of your router tenfold depending on the one you buy. Just make sure you buy one that is compatible and has the same speed as your router (600 mbps router with a 600 mbps Range Extender). If you are still having issues, you may need to go to an even stronger router since you have a lot of devices. This is from a purely networking standpoint as I have many years experience with this. Hope this helps.

Connect all of your gaming devices and/or those that stream video to the 5GHz band while anything that just surfs the internet (or doesn't require an amazing connection), put on the 2.4GHz connection. It is easy to set both bands up, but you may have to go through the initial setup process again. Also, if SIGNAL STRENGTH is your main problem, go back to best buy and purchase (or ask a representative) about a WiFi Range Extender. Netgear also offers those, and they work great. However, be sure to follow the setup instructions closely because sometimes it can be a pain.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A couple of options. One would be to purchase a range extender for your current router. Some routers now have removable antennas that can be replaced with longer range antennas. Second would be to purchase a new router that has longer range capabilities. Location is also important. I have my router (Netgear Nighthawk) on the main floor of my home in my office. I have over 20 devices connected to it in the basement, main floor and upstairs. No issues. If your router isn't located on the main floor you may try moving it there and see if the range is increased...
