“I purchased a Netgear N600 Wireless Dual band router, model WNDR3400v2 years ago. I just upgraded my Spectrum internet speed to 60 mbps and the speedtest is only showing 35 mbps. Is this because the router isn't strong/fast enough? Should I call?”

well i have this router and i get 95 MB download upload speedsm im on spectrum as well with 60 MB MPBS plan, maybe you need to configure some channels or just chat with support and request an autosetting they would be able to configure the router and maybe it would solve the problem

If it is indeed fast enough for your service, then you may have some latency in your service. Use Ping Plotter to trace your signal hops to see where you may have latency. Ping Plotter is free to use. I personally have used it to show Comcast where I had one hop was lagging very badly. .
