No cd to load. Your pc will acknowledge the new device. Just follow the instructions for easy setup.

No CD was required to install the extender. It took less than 30 minutes to get up and running. It works great and does was I was hoping for. My wireless router is in the basement corner electrical closet and I have this extender upstairs in the living room. It is probably actually only 20-30 feet from my router by straight line, but has several walls and the floor between them. I notice now with my iPod Touch that my email updates as I'm coming up the drive.
