Yes, this would work. It's worth noting though, this extender is terrible (at least the one I got was). It was right across from my main access point in the same room, barely 10 feet away, with no barriers in between and it would lose signal at least once per day. You're better off buying a more expensive one, I ended up getting a Netgear AC1750 EX6250-100NAS, and it works perfectly. For what you need, you could also give wall-plugged bridges a try and cut out the wireless aspect all together. These use your existing electrical wiring to transmit an internet signal.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. There is a CAT5 cable connection below this. I use this to connect a smart TV to my network. It was using full wireless, but was lagging. I bought the extender to extend thru the whole house and plugged the TV into this. No lag!
