• Probably not. Suggest you look at powerline networking. I use it for my TV and it's just like being hardwired. The Best Buy folks can help you with this.

• We bought it because the layout of the house possibly created barriers for a computer down the hall to get a good connection to the internet. We feel this boosted the performance of the internet in the back of the house.
