My situation was flipped around with the router in the basement. It worked for me, but the speeds were under 15 mbps with that far of a disctance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. My router is in the basement and I have the netgear 300 on the second floor which provides wifi to the bedrooms on third floor. I actually have two in second floor--one plugged in by front door the other by back door. They work well go me.
