The router would not be responsible for recognizing Skype, but rather the ports it uses. Consult skype if you require to open individual ports - but, it should already be preconfigured. I used Skype all the time with this router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use Skype and I do remember having to uninstall Skype and reinstall it after I had the router hooked up. I didn't have any problems immediately when I hooked up the router, but did experience problems shortly thereafter. Try uninstalling it then reinstalling it but make sure your router is hooked up properly and you can get online ok before doing anything because you may have a wire in the wrong place or something. I know I've done that before! Good Luck!
