Use a small pen to press the RESET button, located on the back of the router. You will need it powered up and you will need to hold the reset button on for 10 to 20 seconds. The lights on the front will change to yellow and begin flashing. When this happens, you can release the button and follow the instructions on initial setup.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Connect your computer to the router with an ethernet cable. Then go to www.routerlogin.net the user name is admin and the passcode is simply passcode. Here you can change your passcode. But know that your router came with a passcode assigned to the serial, for security it's best to use that one. Look on the bottom of your router you will see the passcode there. Or you can reset it using the site I provided. Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can reset the password, the handbook shows how to accomplish this situation. Also while setup you can store your pass word on netgear site while registering the router. You might have to reconfigure the network again in worst case scenario but no need to buy a new router, your investment will be safe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The device has a "quick connect" button that you can push to allow a new device to find out all the permissions it needs to connect to the network. If your computer / device doesn't have this option, you will need to get into the routers configuration files to get / set a password. Details on how to do this are on the manufacturers website, (you will just need the model number written on the back of the device.) http://netgear.com If you do not know the password to enter the configuration file, there is a "reset" button on the device that will return it to its original default configuration. This would allow you to use the default password to get into the router configuration, and set a network password again. Be aware that hitting the reset button would require you to again make any and all changes that you have already made while setting up the device - if you are not comfortable doing that, you may want to ask for assistance in performing this task.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If this is a newer model, the default SID and password are right on the back of the actual router. If you changed the password or are using an older model, just reset to factory settings and access through your browser. Just type in the IP Address of 192.168.0.1
