The 2DS XL has a hinged screen so I wouldn't recommend it for a kid under 12, unless they are super responsible, or you have a lot of money to throw away. I would recommend the regular 2DS for any age it's about half the price and plays all the same games and is more durable by design.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My six year old is playing this and enjoying it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For what I read and seen with my Grandchild inter acting and a little understanding would give them a good start on it. I feel that starting at the age of nine would be fair but I feel just let them try because some children can pick up on something a lot faster than older ones because of the interest. Even his Grand father has a good time on this when his Grandson is sleeping. They just have to understand that they need to take care of the device and games as if it was gold.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say what ever age they can handle it safely. The 3ds says to not use the 3D in kids under 6. We bought son his first ds at 5.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't remember what the box says. My 16 year old son enjoys it as well as his younger brothers. The ages here for my boys are 5, 9, 10, 13 & 16 and they all enjoy playing on the 2DS XL.
