• We have used ours for Sunday fun day for the summer, with up to 26 people. We have used it both ways. Keep making ice and use right out of the machine, and bag.

• You don't have to remove it immediately. It will keep making ice with what melts so there is always ice. It makes ice pretty quickly too so if you empty the reservoir, you don't have to wait very long before it makes ice again
