• Audrey...I bought this Lumix and returned it because it broke after 3 days.....BUT I was not impressed with its cooling capabilities. I ended up buying a used one built in Australia which hold 4.5 gallons which I love. The Lumix holds maybe a gallon. I think an important part of the 'cooling factor' is how large the tank is.

• This unit does not require outside venting, but works best with an open air flow. It's not as powerful as an AC, but in low humidity environments (less than 40%), it can cool 10-15 degrees.
