1) We include 2 batteries with each wire free camera. 2) You are correct on the stated battery life - up to 6 months with 2 batteries and up to 12 months with 4. However, no that is not 24/7 recording. 24/7 recording would eat through the battery life at a much faster rate. The listed battery life is using the default record setting which is Human Detection. 3) Yes, you can upgrade the HDD or install an external HDD. These cameras are fixed lens and do not have optical zoom capability. Thank you!
